Client Groups as filters on schedules

Hi Lara Greenway,
Thanks for clarifying the dynamic aspect!
At the moment,
Client Groups
are designed as a filtering tool only. They help with selection and visibility, but they don’t act as a live relationship that automatically updates schedules or XBerts when a client is added to or removed from a group. We do have a few improvements coming that should help reduce the manual effort involved:
- Our new bulk management tools will allow you to update multiple schedules at once, making it much faster to apply changes across groups of clients.
- We’re also releasing a new client onboarding tool (more details to come!), which will allow you to add a new client to multiple schedules/templates at the point of creation in XBert, rather than needing to navigate into schedules individually afterwards.
That said, making Client Groups truly dynamic - where a schedule or XBert alert is assigned to a group and automatically applies to any client added to that group - would require a broader redesign of how Client Groups currently function.
- It introduces a number of flow-on considerations, such as how to handle exceptions, clients moving between groups, and whether users would then need to rely on groups as a core structural layer of their setup.
Because of that, this is a more extensive piece of work that requires careful design rather than a small enhancement.
We’ll continue to evaluate it as part of longer-term roadmap discussions, but in the meantime the upcoming bulk and onboarding improvements should meaningfully streamline the current process. :)

Auto add new Client to schedules

I don't know if this is possible - to nominate a schedule within a template, to be "default" so that when you add a new client, you can auto add to "default" schedules. That would ensure minimum task lists are captured.

This post missed the important aspect that these client groups are not dynamic - if a client is added to the group, they are not added to the schedule

Lara Greenway understood Lara. We will discuss in our internal roadmap sessions.

Hi Lara Greenway This function already exists. Click the filter at the top of the client list. Then scroll to the bottom of the left side of the next screen.
